Here is what you can expect when applying to be a FIFA Volunteer at a FIFA tournament
Here is what you can expect when applying to be a FIFA Volunteer at a FIFA tournament.
The
FIFA volunteer journey consists of completing an application form,
attending an interview, accepting your role offer, attending training,
selecting shifts, collecting accreditation and uniform, and delivering
an amazing tournament!
Step 1: Submit your application
The first part of the process is to complete your application form for the FIFA tournament that you wish to join.
Step 2: Pass your interview
Your
application will be evaluated and applicants who are successful will be
invited for an interview. This is your opportunity to highlight your
strengths, motivation and suitability to join the FIFA volunteer team
for the tournament.
Step 3: Accept your role offer
Successful candidates will be assigned to a role based on their application, interview and any relevant experience.
Step 4: Attend training
You
will be required to complete all required training in order to perform
your volunteer role at the FIFA tournament as these sessions will
provide you with key information about the tournament and your
volunteering role.
Step 5: Tournament time
Once
you have completed your training, you will receive your volunteer
uniform and accreditation and book your shifts to perform your volunteer
assignment. Most volunteer roles will require commitment for the
duration of the tournament, but in some cases, roles may start up to a
month before the tournament and finish even a few days after.
Step 6: Post-tournament
Once
the tournament is over, you will be invited to a special volunteer
appreciation event, receive your volunteer certificate and take home
with you memories that will last a lifetime! You will remain a part of
the FIFA Volunteer Community and can apply for future opportunities.
